ABOUT
Hi! I'm Kaitlyn Quach, an NYC-based cartoonist who loves chocolate, affable villains, lengthy train rides, and the way raindrops rest atop leaves. I specialize in middle-grade/kid lit work.
Being born and raised in the Bronx and Queens by a family of Chinese immigrants, themes of generational trauma (as well as learning to love yourself despite the way you were raised) often worm their way into my work. I was a kid who could have really benefitted from ADHD/autistic representation of Asian-Americans, so I work to provide that for others like me. You’ll find me writing lighthearted, humor-filled, and wacky stories with snappy dialogue and strong fantasy/sci-fi elements. As someone who grew up fascinated with villains in fictional media, I love to write characters who resemble them at face value, but tend to subvert expectations! Outside of comics, I am a passionate climate activist and plan on volunteering often and giving back to my community of New Yorkers. My goal in comics is to help spread messages of hope and empowerment for the youth during this terrifying time in American history, as well as highlighting the value of being gentle and sensitive. |
